Hi everyone! Firstly I am so sorry that I have not written a blog post on here in so long. I am at University and have had so much stress with essays/exams etc...so finally I feel FREE (well until 3rd year starts in September!) I think I am about the only student who even though I have done all the work for this year, I am still in Uni for another 2 weeks!! I am so excited now for the summer as I am going on holiday to Mauritius with my boyfriend and to Italy with my family and then I go to Dubai and India with my friend (I have written a previous blog post about it)! Yes, I feel very lucky....I have spent all year saving up so I feel like its finally paid of haha. I have also been so busy with sorting out injections I need, planning transport and getting a visa for India. If you know me well then I appear to be a very organised person, but in fact I am quite the opposite! So basically I realised the other day that I needed a visa for India (which you have to send your passport), but I need my passport back in less than 2 weeks for my holiday to Mauritius....so now I am having to go to London tomorrow to go to the Embassy and do the visa there as opposed to doing it online as it comes back quicker! So fingers crossed it comes back within the 2 week time frame! You would also think I would have learnt my lesson as this exact same situation happened last year (I won't go into that now...haha!) ♥
I thought I would share some photos with you all of some more exciting things that I have done in the past month....♥
So this year the Radio 1 Big Weekend was held in Norwich. If you know anything about Norwich or Norfolk (county it is in) then you will understand my excitement at how amazing this news was....Norfolk is a relatively small place and many people say 'it is in the middle of no where!' I was ecstatic when I heard the lineup and the announcement that Taylor Swift would be playing on the Sunday. When the tickets went on sale I had my laptop and my phone at the waiting, desperately hoping to get tickets. If you don't know then tickets for the Radio 1 Big Weekend are free and it is held once a year in a different location. It is actually the biggest free music event in Europe! The majority of tickets go to people living within the area (which is why I was so excited) and most people are able to get 2 tickets for either the Saturday or the Sunday. Me and my friend decided that if one of us got tickets then we would invite the other one to go with the person. So unfortunately I didn't manage to get tickets but my friend did...and she got tickets for the Sunday! We had such an amazing day (even though the weather was so rainy) and saw so many amazing artists. My favourites was definitly Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Imagine Dragons, Clean Bandit and George Ezra.♥
It was such a great atmosphere! ♥
Sheltering from the rain under an umbrella. We ended up buying rain macs (not sure why I didn't buy one from Primark before as the weather forecast was meant to rain!)♥
Also saw Olly Murs! ♥
Clean Bandit were so good! ♥
Can't go to a festival without buying the rip off junk food they sell..haha! ♥
Just chilling! ♥
Best part of the day for me was TAYLOR SWIFT! She was literally absolutely amazing....I am so desperate to see her in concert now. Some of my favourites that she sung were Love Story, Blank Space and Bad Blood. I also loved her outfit...was so sparkly! ♥
♥♥♥
Such an amazing day! ♥
Last weekend I went down to Leeds to see my Uni friends. I am not sure if I have mentioned before that I originally did my first year at University in Leeds and then this year I transferred to the UEA (uni in Norwich) for my final 2 years. I will maybe write a blog post and explain why I made this decision and give some of my advice on what I learnt during this time (if anyone is interested!) I am so lucky though as I made such good friends during my first year and we all still keep in touch and I go down (or up even) to visit. So anyway we decided to do the 'Otley Run.' If you don't know then this is basically a chance to dress up and go to a different pub along a certain route, where you get a drink in each pub you go to. One of my friends suggested that we dressed up as 'fruit!' At first I was very confused as to what to go as and didn't find any costumes that really stood out. I looked online and some of the costumes were so expensive, which I also thought were abit basic and unpersonal. One of my friends and I then decided to go as grapes....(I won't say much more as I have posted some photos below for you to see!) ♥
We had so much fun making the grape costumes and it was super cheap to make. I felt like Georgina (in Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging) where she goes to the party dressed up as an Olive! ♥
Here was the rest of the bunch! I loved all the bright colours and I think we all did well managing to go as something different! ♥
Had the best weekend with these crazy bunch of girlies (even though people kept trying to pop our grapes and some people even tried using a lighter to burn them!) ♥
One last exciting thing that has happened in the past month is that my Candian friend and her boyfriend (well she is actually English but moved to Canada whilst we were at high school) came to stay with me. We had such a brilliant few days and it was so lovely to see them both. She wanted to show her boyfriend where she grew up, which was crazy to see after so many years and we did lots of touristy things. We also went to 'Go Ape,' which is an outdoor high rope adventure course in the trees. I have done this quite a few times before and I absolutely love it....so much fun! I will post some photos below of some of the things we got up toooooo....hope you enjoy! ♥
Had the nicest lunch with the nicest view in a beachy tourist placed called Cromer. ♥
Me and Megan outside a really cute old church. It is such a small world as her boyfriends great, great granddad was from this tiny village in Norfolk. He basically got the maid pregnant and his family were so ashamed that they sent him all the way to Canada so he wasn't associated with the family. So Megan's boyfriend (Candian) found out about this and we traced down his relatives and found their graves (such a small world!) ♥
♥♥♥
Quite liked my photography in this photo...haha ♥
GO APE! ♥
Hope you have liked this long post....I really enjoyed writing it and I have missed not writing posts. I am definitly going to be blogging about my holidays and I might even do some vlogs on Youtube!? I am just not sure yet if I am confident enough...haha! ♥
Thank you for reading. ♥
XOXOXOXOX
