Brighton!

I really love writing blog posts...I just never have enough time to write as many as I would like. I have so many things I want to blog about I just need to do all the other things (uni work etc) before I can get down to doing these posts. I am currently on placement which takes up most of my week and then at weekends I am either working (job) or working (uni work!) This weekend just gone though, I went to Brighton. This was the first time I have ever been to Brighton before and I loved it. I went to stay with my boyfriend on the Friday night and then we drove to Brighton on the Saturday to see my brother. He is currently in his first year at uni and lives in a student house with 3 other people. I realised when I was at his student house just how glad I was that I no longer live in 'student' accommodation!! Let's just say the bath was definitely unusable with the amount of grime covering the surface that you could no longer see it was white! He also kindly offered me a cup of tea and after getting the mug out of the cupboard he realised it was not clean (in fact it looked like it had never been cleaned!) Anyway, on the Saturday we explored the pier, beach and Laines that Brighton has to offer. We were so lucky with the weather...the sun was out all day!

Me and Alex on the car journey to Brighton! ♥

 Brighton beach is beautiful. ♥

Lovely view from the pier of the beach and Brighton wheel. ♥

 Me and my brother! ♥

Super sunny on the pier! I have recently fallen in love with this pink leather jacket (obviously not real leather!) I got it from Primark for £10! It adds a bit of colour to an outfit and is much more spring/summery than a black leather jacket. I am also using my Ted Baker bag which I got for my 21st! ♥

Having fun on the arcades! (We actually won a keyring!) ♥

Oh my goodness....how gorgeous is this dog!?! ♥

I loved this hat! Might get one similar for the summer (will be good for India!) ♥

I am such a fan of cute cake shops! This one looks adorable and the cakes look amazing...I just want to eat them all! ♥

Maybe just me but seagulls scare me! They look so much bigger than you think. ♥

You can't go to the beach without getting chips! These were delicious. ♥
 ♥
My friend recommend 'Slice Sussex' as an amazing place to go for tea and cakes. My brother typed the address into his phone and although it said it was going to take half an hour to get there we decided to walk there even though we had already done so much walking that morning.  After what seemed like hours my brother finally said 'well it says we are here...' We looked round and realised that although we were there it was no longer open!!! I was especially so disappointed as by this point I was so ready to sit down and indulge in a huge slice of cake! ♥

How pretty do all the beach huts look along the beach. ♥

We stayed overnight at my boyfriend's friend and went out on the Saturday night, which was really fun. On the Sunday we took my brother out for brunch and then I went back home later on that day. If you haven't been to Brighton then I would recommend it as a nice weekend away!

XOXOXOX
